The data information to input in the AMS filing. 

AMS filing data fields.

​

1. Shipper name and address

2.  Consignee name and address

3.  Notify party name and address.

4. House Bill Lading Number. (HBL)

5. Master bill Lading Number. (MBL)

6. Vessel Name.

7. Voyage number,

8. Carrier SCAC code and

9. Vessel nationality code( Vessel registry country code).

10. Port of loading.

11. Last Foreign Port.

12. United State discharge port.

13. Estimated time of arrival,

14. Place of Delivery.

15. Cargo information

      Total Number of Package, total weight, total CBM and Packing unit. 

      Cargo description and Marks. 

      Container number and Seal number. 

   

Remark:

​

1. Basically all data fields in the entry form are required, normally the data entry system will validate the data before submitting AMS.

2. Carrier SCAC code can obtain from carriers or download a carrier scac code list in our Tools section for reference,

3. The country that the vessel registry, like Panama, the country code is PA This will input as vessel nationality code. 

4. Last Foreign Port should be the last port before entering into US first discharge port. If vessel is direct from loading port to US port and no stop port in between, loading port should input as last Foreign Port. 

5. Cargo description should be short and precise as possible. 

6. For MBL number, some system will include carrier SCAC code, like MEDU654321, some only require the actual MBL number like 654321 depending on the system that the software provider. 

7. For HBL number, should not more than 12 characters, do not use space and other special character like #, @ ! + etc as will cause error rejected
